EXCURSION 1.This morning we will travel to Pickering to board the North Yorkshire
Moors Railway, travelling through the Dales to Goathland, this line was used
extensively in the Harry Poer Films. There will be free me in Whitby, where there
will be an opportunity to visit the ruins of the historic Abbey of St. Hilda which
towers over the harbour.
EXCURSION 2.In the morning we will make our way to Eden Camp Modern
History Theme Museum. The Eden Camp is the large Second World War related
museum near Malton in North Yorkshire. In the aernoon we will head to York
and you will have free me to visit the many aracons such as York Minster
offering over 2000 years of history. Take a break from the hecc outside
world and step into the peace and tranquillity of its wonderful gothic
styled arches and ceiling. The Naonal Railway Museum tells the story of the
railways over the last 300 years, with an exhibion including the Flying Scotsman Story.
