Luxury shops, antiques and artisan goods are all together on cobbled streets along narrow passageways. There are buildings from Medieval Tudor and Georgian periodsall mixed together, even the sea is a little wayward, having stranded the town many years ago. Afterwards we travel to Battle which was the site of William theConqueror's victory over Harold. The Abbey of St. Martin was built by William the Conqueror after the battle. The high alter is believed to be on the place that Harold fell. The town itself is a wonderful excuse to go shopping.
