Day 1. Travelling to Torquay, stopping for a lunch break at driven chosen destination. Arriving at our hotel in the afternoon.
Day 2. The Dartmoor National Park is a vast moorland in Devon County, famous for its roaming ponies. The area has been used for many documentaries and films, most famously it was used by Steven Spielberg for the filming of War Horse. We will then travel on to the Dartmoor Visitor Centre, via Bovey Tracey, famous for its glass blown marbles, continuing through Morton Hampstead to the iconic town of Postbridge. This town is famous for its Clapper Bridge. The journey continues to Princetown, where you will enjoy some free time in the highest village on Dartmoor, admire the views of the stunning landscapes and two more clapper bridges. We travel on to Plymouth, where we will have a break, to enjoy the Plymouth Hoe and the iconic sights. There is an optional boat ride around the harbour.
Day 3. A day of leisure, why not enjoy a gentle stroll down the sandy beaches or the genteel Victorian appearance of the town, or why not explore Torquay’s harbour or museum! You will also have opportunity to use any of the TLH Resorts facilities within the area.
Day 4. Today we will travel to Brixham, the harbour town has plenty to offer, with its working fishing boats and beautiful harbour. In the harbour is a replica of The Golden Hind, you can go on board and see what life was like for its sailors. Then we travel to Kingswear to take a return ferry to Dartmouth. Enjoy some free time in Dartmouth, to explore the towns enchanting streets and scenic river location.
Day 5. Travelling back home, we will stop for comfort break. Arriving home in the afternoon.
