THE OCEAN VIEW HOTEL

Our hotel is in the resort of Shanklin having a prime location. The hotel has a good standard of accommodation, some have beautiful sea view with balconies to relax. The hotel is known for its service and good food.

Bayshore Hotel

This large hotel is located on the seafront opposite the pier and offers extensive public rooms where live entertainment is provided in season.

Tour Itinerary

DAY 1 – Today we travel to the Island via an afternoon ferry. Arriving at the hotel for your evening meal.

DAY 2 & DAY 3 – Both days for leisure. Enjoy all what the Isle of Wight has to offer. You could visit the Isle of Wight Zoo, The Garlic Farm, Sandown Pier or the Glory Art Glass. With time to relax on Small Hope Beach with spectacular views out across Shanklin & Sandown Bay.

DAY 4– The town of Cowes, sitting in the north of the Island. Split into two by the mouth of the River Medina, both sides are steeped in Maritime heritage, with large marinas making them popular for sailing ships and yachts. We will then call into Osborne House, the residence of Queen Victoria (admission included). During your visit, you can see the extravagant Durbar Room, or the extensive grounds with stunning views across The Solent.

DAY 5 – Our first stop today is Rosemary Vineyards, on the largest producers of English wine, covering 30 acres with a wonderful climate just perfect for growing vines. A guided tour of the vineyard will explain the art of wine making. The afternoon is spent in Ryde Town. One of the largest towns on Isle of Wight, it holds the world’s oldest hovercraft operator and operates the last remaining hovercraft passenger service in Britain.

Day 6 – Today we go on an Island Tour, starting with the attractive village of Godshill with its many thatched cottages. Then onto Yarmouth, a busting town with a stunning castle and a lovely natural harbour. Alum Bay sits in the west of the Island, where the mainly shingle beach is framed by iconic chalk stalks known as The Needles with 21 different shades, with a dramatic view of the chalk lines crating scenic beautiful view, that is not seen anywhere.

DAY 7 – Returning on the morning ferry, to arrive home in the afternoon.
