The Ocean Beach Hotel & Spa -Bournemouth

Formerly known as the CLIFFESIDE Hotel, located directly on the seafront, atop the prestigious East Cliff of Bournemouth this contemporary hotel offers some of the best views in town. The Ocean Beach Hotel & Spa is only minutes’ walk from seven miles of award winning sandy beaches and close to the town center, gardens and vibrant café society of Bournemouth. Decorated in a modern, rustic beach style with onsite Day Spa and Italian Café, this new concept Hotel & Spa offers visitors to Bournemouth a great venue to explore from.

Tour Highlights

Monday – Today we travel to Winchester, explore more than 1000 years of medieval history, marvel at the 12th century wall paintings and carvings in the cathedral. You may view the illuminated Bible and see the statue of King Alfred The Great in Broadway.
Tuesday – Day of Leisure. You could just take time to enjoy the wonderful delights of Bournemouth, sit and enjoy the lovely variety of the many gardens, or explore the wonderful shops it has to offer.

Wednesday - We travel to Salisbury, where you will be free to explore this marvellous gothic Cathedral at your own pace. View the world’s oldest working mechanical clock and the best preserved original copy of the Magna Carta. Explore the medieval town with its quaint shops and stunning viewpoints. A scenic drive is taken through the New forest via Lyndhurst to Christchurch. There is free time to explore the historic attractions of this unique town, while here you could explore the ruins of the Saxon Castle, capture the history of its charming quay or indulge in the local shops.

Thursday – Today we travel to the historic city of Dorchester with free time. Where you can visit the Maiden Castle, or admire the roman origins. The town has a connection to Thomas Hardy as he based many of his books in the area. The town will be getting ready to the festivities so look out for local Christmas Markets. Then onto Weymouth and all the delights of this beautiful resort. You could stroll down its long arc of fine golden sands with its impressive backdrop of fine Georgian seafront. The views from the bay are spectacular, stretching across the horizon taking the World Heritage UNESCO Jurassic Coastline.

Friday – There will be a lunch break enroute, arriving home in the afternoon
