Scotland- The Kelpies & The Enchanted Forest

Within Scotland’s Perthshire district is an arboreal display, the deep reds, gold, purple and copper are best to see in October, be mesmerised by all these autumnal colours and the Enchanted Forest near Pitlochry, depicting nature’s force of each wind and fire. We continue our autumn theme with visits to the award inning Glamis Castle and Gardens and enjoy the warm glow of a whisky tasting session. Finally, we head to the coast to St Andrews and the rejuvenated Dundee.

Tour Highlights

Monday – As we travel to our hotel there will be regular comfort breaks and a lunch break enroute.
Tuesday – today we travel to Loch Tummel in all its autumn glory – deemed to be Queen Victoria’s favourite spot. We continue to Kenmore where the shimmering waters of mighty Loch Tay comes into view, surrounded by rustic autumn woodlands and purple clad hillsides. Onwards, and into the Highlands to Killin and along the shoreline of Loch Earn. We stop in Crieff, in the heart of Perthshire countryside concluding with a guided tour and two tasting at Famous Grouse, the oldest distillery in the world.
Wednesday – The autumn theme continues today as we go the multi award winning Glamis Castle and Gardens – the childhood home of the Queen Mother. In October, the abundance of trees and exotic plants ensures the visitor is treated to a glorious spectacle of autumn colours strolling various nature trails. The Castle is a place to admire, both with its stunning architecture and furnishings together with its proud and long-standing history. After an early dinner, entry is included into the dazzling visuals and innovative design that is the Enchanted Forest. Set in stunning woodland near Pitlochry and using the forest as a natural backdrop. Experience a light show that is quite simply out of this world.
Thursday – Firstly we will visit Dundee with it’s the new £1 bn waterfront development. Then over the Tay Bridge and into Fife and the ancient University and Golf City of St Andrews, with its ancient monuments, historical links, boutique shops and coastal walks. On the way, back we stop in the river city of Perth for a spot of retail therapy.
Friday - As we travel south, we will take regular comfort breaks with a lunch break enroute.
