Tour Highlights

Monday – Enroute to our hotel, we will stop for a lunch break in York. Within its walls rich and full of colourful character, its history recorded in the street, buildings and museums gathered around the mighty Minster. Discover the many treasures and architectural gems that this remarkable city has to offer, its quaint cobbled streets, the famous Shambles and the National Railway Museum.

Tuesday – Enjoy a day of leisure in Scarborough, the promenade in the attractive Belvedere Gardens, the spa footbridge to the town centre or take the cliff lift down to the golden beaches of the South Bay and the lovely little harbour, you could walk up to the magnificent castle and enjoy the views from the headland.

Wednesday – Today we will be vising Bridlington. The Priory and Church of St Marys in Bridlington, has a fascinating history playing a part in the dissolution of the monasteries, however an interesting fact is that some of the old stones from the original Priory have been used to support the pier. You will be free to get some lunch here. Then in the afternoon we travel to Filey with glorious views of the Yorkshire coastlines. In the town of Filey is a great little museum which was once a Fishermans cottage and farm cottage. Returning to our hotel in time for your evening meal.
Thursday- This morning we travel to Pickering to board the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, travelling through the Dales to Goathland, this line was used extensively in the Harry Potter Films. There will be free time in Whitby, where there will be the opportunity of visiting the ruins of the historic Abbey of St Hilda which towers over the harbour.
Friday – Returning home with a lunch break enroute, arriving home in the afternoon.
