The UNESCO Lake District is a unique destination and is home to a stunning combination of rugged crags, rolling wooded valleys and tranquil lakes. The area surrounding Windermere is particularly beautiful, and we will take full advantage of the area by taking a cruise on Lake Windermere. Since the hotel is located in Blackpool there is plenty to enjoy in the evening

The carousel Hotel ***

A modern hotel on the seafront on Blackpool’s South Promenade, which is on the quieter side of town towards St Annes. A very friendly hotel with great service and hospitality.

Tour Itinerary

Sunday – Travelling to Blackpool with a comfort break enroute, and a boat cruise on the Anderton Boat Lift and Cruise. (admissions included)
Monday – A day of leisure. Take some time to enjoy the sights and sounds of Blackpool. Maybe visit the famous Blackpool Tower, Madam Tussards or simply enjoy the beautiful seafront, walk along the pier or even take a tram ride along the promenade.
Tuesday – This morning we board a steam train at Haverwaite Station. We will use the Lakeside to Haverwaite Railway line to travel to the southern tip of Lake Windermere. (admissions included) The Lake District National Park is extremely beautiful, with vast landscapes of woodland and open moorland. The area is also renowned for its open areas of water. One of the most famous is Lake Windermere, the lake is over 10 miles long and is the largest lake in Cumbria. While here we will take a cruise on the lake so look out for all the wildlife from this different perspective. (admissions included) The afternoon is free to enjoy in Bowness. With a Victorian influence, you can wander around the village and visit the pier or view the many water sport activities. (admissions included)

Wednesday – Lancaster is home to one of the ‘wonders of the waterways’ the Lune Aqueduct. A masterpiece of engineering it carries the canal over the River Lune at a height of 61 feet. Our canal boat ride will take you at a leisurely pace over this incredible structure, with magnificent views all around you, so sit back and enjoy the ride. (admissions included) Free time to enjoy in this historic city of Lancaster.

Thursday - Returning with a lunch break at Trentham Outlet Shopping Centre.
