Sat within the grounds of Snowdonia National Park, this lovely hotel has a reputation for good service and fine food.

Tour Itinerary

Monday – Travelling to Llanberis stopping at Llangollen. A wonderful town to enjoy some lunch, after which we board the Llangollen Steam Train for a ride through the scenic Dee Valley. This is a stunning landscape for such a ride, take in the calm and tranquil fields and valleys, mixed in with some agricultural and industrial heritage. (admissions included) From Carog we continue into Snowdonia via the Llanberis Pass.
Tuesday – We travel to Portmadog for some free time at a bustling town, full of individual shops and places to eat. The Welsh language is a key part of its identity, commonly spoken here and its people are particularly warm and friendly. We then board a steam train on the Blaenau Ffestinioff Railway through 13 miles of stunning lakes, mountains and waterfalls. (admissions included) From here we travel to Betws-y-Coed returning to our hotel via the Llanberis Pass.
Wednesday – A day of leisure, where you will be able to enjoy the scenic return train ride on the Snowdonian Mountain Railway to the top. (weather permitting, admissions included). The train climbs 3,560 ft. with break taking views from the carriage; once at the top, the views are magnificent so take the time to enjoy and absorb the glorious views. After your short break, you travel back down the mountainside. In the afternoon, we will board train for a return journey around the Podarn Lake. There is also time to visit the National Slate Museum. (admissions included)
Thursday – In the morning we travel to Caernarfon to see the beautiful castle and free time. We then board one of the most popular train rides in Snowdonia the Welsh Highland Railway. Taking in some of the most glorious views of the Snowdonia National Park arguably the finest scenery anywhere in the world. Our journey will take you through Beddgelert, one of the prettiest villages, the area around the town was the inspiration behind the adventures of Rupert Bear. The journey will finish in Portmadog from there the coach will bring to back to the hotel.
Friday - Returning home with a lunch break at Shrewsbury, where you can enjoy this medieval city, boasting over 600 listed historic buildings.
